Program Overview
The Corporate Analyst Development Program is designed to develop well-rounded future leaders with core business skills for a variety of business-aligned roles within the firm. Over the duration of this two-year program, you will gain a broad foundation and exposure to the firm’s diverse businesses through targeted, managed rotations across our Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Groups. This unique program touches a wide array of functions within the firm including analytics, MIS, business management, project management, process improvement, operational risk & control, and core operations. Analysts are engaged in key initiatives and processes and are expected to make an impact right from the start.

As an Analyst, you will build your core business skills and experience in these four core disciplines by being placed in targeted, managed rotations, supporting the firm’s different LOBs including Asset Management, Card Services, the Investment Bank, Retail Financial Services, Treasury & Securities Services and Corporate Groups.  Our highly selective rotational program is only available in our New York Metro and Delaware locations. Rotations will be hosted in the location in which you were hired.

After successfully completing your rotations, you will secure a permanent, non-rotating role within one of the various lines of businesses or corporate areas that complements your newly and richly built core business skill set.  Examples of post program roles include Project Manager, Program Manager, Business Management Office, Risk Specialist, Operations Supervisor, and Process Improvement Specialist.

Roles and Responsibilities
Rotations are focused in the following 4 disciplines to ensure development of these key skills:

Project Management & Process Improvement
·        Project management responsibilities include a wide range of activities such as documenting project scope, workstreams, deliverables, timelines, workplans and outcomes.  Projects can vary in scope from tactical implementation of new processes to developing strategic solutions. Process improvement responsibilities are very similar to projects, including a focus on documenting existing processes, defining ways to improve or increase the efficiency of a process, and change management.

MIS, Analytics, and Business Management
·        This function is focused on the various disciplines that support the management of a business unit.  Such disciplines include data analysis and presentation of findings, objective planning, financial management including budgeting and forecasting, capacity management, vendor management and business performance management.

 Operational Risk and Control
·        Analysts concentrate on various disciplines within the operational risk area of the business such as self assessments of risk, risk reporting, risk control policies, and information security.  Responsibilities may include testing, analysis and procedure documentation.

Core Operations
·        An Analyst works in the critical middle and back office operations functions, processing and supporting the business revenue generating activities.  Core operations includes: transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, research, reporting, documentation, client service and onboarding.

Training and Development
As a member of the Corporate Analyst Development Program, you’ll benefit from extensive training and development opportunities – on-the-job, program driven and self-directed.  Prior to the start of your first rotation, you will get an in-depth understanding of the different lines of business within the firm, as well as industry, leadership and technical training. Our holistic approach to development will continue throughout the rotational program, with opportunities to participate in core business and leadership skills training, networking and senior speaker series events, and career planning and coaching sessions. As you near the end of the program, our program management team will work with you both in group sessions and on an Individual basis to prepare you for continuing your career.

Qualifications
Only those who are highly motivated and eager to build a long-term career within the business operations and support areas of a major financial services institution will be considered.  Also we look for candidates who are results-oriented, client-focused and have demonstrated professionalism through previous employment, internship or school/community leadership experiences. Other specific qualifications include:
·        Expected graduation date ranging from December 2011 to June 2012
·        Working towards a BS/BA degree, preferably a business or engineering degree
·        Preferred GPA of 3.5
·        Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and resourceful & logical thinking
·        Ability to work well under pressure and assume high-level responsibility in a team setting
·        Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Access and preferred proficiency in Visio, Access, and Business Objects

All candidates must have the eligibility to work permanently in the U.S.
