2018 43rd Virginia’s Founders’ Day hosted by Lynchburg (VA) Alumni and Rho Kappa

43rd Virginia Chapters Founders Day Celebration

Date: 10/9/2017

Subject: Virginia Chapters Founders Day Program

Dear Brothers in Phi Nu Pi

We hope this letter finds you well.  We are reaching out to you in regards to the momentous occasion of our fraternity’s birth that is once again upon us.  In January of 2018, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated will celebrate our 107th Anniversary.  The Lynchburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi is honored to host the 43rd Annual Virginia Chapters Founder’s Day Celebration in collaboration with the Virginia University of Lynchburg (VUL) Chapter, the Rho Kappa of Kappa Alpha Psi.  On Saturday January 20, 2018, all chapters charted within the state of Virginia will come together in the city of Lynchburg, Virginia to celebrate our Fraternity’s Founders Day. We are inviting you to come and join us for this extraordinary occasion!

The guest speaker for this year’s program will be Charlottesville’s Vice Mayor, Brother Wes Bellamy (http://www.wesbellamy.net).  Brother Bellamy is the youngest individual ever elected in his position and has recently come into the national spotlight after leading the effort to remove statues of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson form city parks.  He has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post and has made appearances on CNN, NPR and On One with Angela Rye.  The VA Founder’s Day Program will take place at the Holiday Inn Select with a Founder’s Day dance to follow at The Amazement Square facility both located in the Historic Downtown Lynchburg.

Our chapter has planned a grand program with attention to hospitality for our visiting brothers and we hope to see you for this celebration.  Enclosed you will find an information sheet with all of the details for this event and an event registration form.  We hope you and your respective chapters will come participate and fellowship with us and celebrate 107 years of achievement and dedication to our noble clan!

Please feel free to follow-up as needed if you have any questions.
