Death of the Honorable Randall C. Bacon
My Brothers:
It has come to my attention that our dearly beloved 25 th Grand Polemarch has transitioned from labor to reward.
Further information is not available at this time, but will be forthcoming as soon as arrangements as well as circumstances of his death are known.
Brother Bacon was initiated at the University of California at Los Angeles, the Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi in 1958. He served as Grand Polemarch during the years 1985-1988. His present chapter was the Las Vegas Alumni (NV) Chapter. Brother Randall C. Bacon was the 49th Laurel Wreath Wearer (2001)
As we prepare to honor this fallen warrior in the service of mankind, please know that ALL members of the fraternity are hereby instructed to be in mourning for the next 30 days, ending at the end of the day of December 15, 2012. During this mourning period, all members will drape their badges by wrapping it with black thread on the upper half. The Life Membership Pin will be draped by being placed in the center of a one inch square swatch of black cloth and attached to the lapel.
As Brother Bacon ascends to the Chapter Invisible, where his peers and all beloved brothers have gone to find rest, we take solace in the Holy Scriptures, where it is written in Rev. 14:13; “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
There’s an alarm at the gate my brothers, keep your eyes and ears open for further information pertaining to this matter.
William “Randy” Bates, Jr., Esq.
