Columbia (MD) Alumni Chapter - Howard County Triathlon
The Columbia (MD) Alumni Chapter served as volunteer Road Marshals for the Howard County Triathlon, which was held on Sunday May 18th 2008. The nationally recognized Triathlon is hosted on an annual basis and supports several local Charities, including The ARC of Howard County, for developmentally affected youth and adults, The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults based in Howard County, The Lance Armstrong Foundation, Team In Training, and The Blazeman Foundation to name a few. The Columbia (MD) Alumni Chapter has actively supported the annual event, since its inception in 1984, and the various riders recognize and acknowledge the Kappas during the race.
