Fraternity Continues Strong Relationship With African-American Insurance Giant

Philadelphia, PA, October 2008 – North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance (NCM), an early pioneer in minority entrepreneurship, has announced its Founder’s Day celebration on October 23, 2008.  Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., who had members involved with the founding of the insurance giant, continues to work closely with NCM as a strategic partner in its community efforts and corporate alliances.

Members of the Kappa Leadership team will, once again, travel to Durham, NC to share in this historic annual event with NCM.  Officially representing the fraternity will be its Executive Director/COO, Richard Lee Snow.  “I’ve been to a few of NCM’s Founder’s Day events and each one makes me realize how similar our organizations are in our approaches to success,” said Snow.

Recently, James Speed, Chief Executive Officer, of NCM and key members of his executive team joined members of the Kappa Leadership Team at a private dinner honoring Kappa member, Adrian M. Fenty, mayor of the District of Columbus, during Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference in D.C.  The two organizations continue to find ways to work together to make a difference in the various communities throughout the country.

Kappa is urging its members to join in the celebration, which is open to the public.  North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company is located at 411 W. Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC 27701.
