Cleve Packer
Brother Cleve H. Packer is a native of Lawrenceville, Virginia. He is a graduate of Brunswick Senior High School in Lawrenceville and North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC (where he was a Spring 1987 initiate into The Alpha Kappa Chapter). He received his Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University.
Cleve began his career with the Virginia Lottery in 1988 during start-up as a Sales Representative in the Farmville Region covering the Petersburg/Hopewell area. In 1991, he was promoted to Sales Supervisor in the Richmond Region. He was promoted to the Farmville Regional Manager in 1994 and was promoted to Central Virginia Regional Manager in 2000. Cleve was responsible for over 20 employees and 22 counties including some 1000 retailers from Charles City to Amherst including Southside Virginia and the Richmond Metropolitan area with yearly sales over $$350 million. In 2006 he was promoted to Business Development Manager at their Richmond headquarters. His duties include retailer expansion, Sales & Marketing initiatives and player development.
He attends St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Richmond (where he is a member of the Knights of St. Philip’s and serves on the Usher Board). Cleve is also a member of the Richmond-Petersburg Chapter of the North Carolina Central University Alumni Association.
Brother Packer is past Polemarch of the Lawrenceville (VA) Alumni Chapter, Immediate Past Chairman of the Eastern Province Achievement and Awards Committee and a member of the Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter. Currently he is on the Eastern Province Board of Directors, representing Region 3. Cleve is married to the former Michelle Brooks of Nashville, TN. They are proud parents of a son, Cleve, Jr. (6) and a daughter, Madelyn (4).
