Mr. Gayatachew Dorsainville received the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer-Based Information Systems in 1996 from Howard University and is currently pursuing dual degrees towards a Master of Science in Technology Management/Project Management and a MBA from the University of Maryland.
He was employed with Kraft Foods, Inc. as an Electronic Messaging Architect within the Information Technology Division. Mr. Dorsainville participated actively in corporate organization such as the African-American Council – Black History Month Committee; Kraft Foods\Howard University Recruiting Team and was instrumental in the formation of the New Information Systems Professional Council (NISPC). As a Founding Member of the NISPC, he worked closely with Human Resources in making sure the employees, new to Kraft Foods IS\IT Division, were fully exposed to what Kraft had to offer. This group was also aligned closely with the corporate recruiting effort so that recent graduates could perform similar activities and function as they did in college in a more professional surrounding.
Following three years of service, Mr. Dorsainville pursued employment with Compaq Computer Corporation as a Technical Consultant where he focus his attention while honing his electronic messaging and consulting skills over the next five years. He later left Compaq/HP but continued his consulting effort with Internosis, Inc., a smaller and very strong company in the Federal Government sector, which has since been acquired by EMC2 - The Microsoft Practice. He is now a Senior Solutions Consultant continuing his electronic messaging skills providing enterprise solutions to government and commercial agencies.
Mr. Dorsainville has received many award and recognition for significant and meritorious contributions presented by student, professional and fraternal organizations. Some of those awards are the 1997 Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award (ABCD), Kraft Foods, Inc.; 2000 and 2001 Treasurer’s Award, Compaq; 2001 Outstanding Accomplishment Award, Compaq; 2001 Outstanding Service Award, Brooklyn-Long Island (NY) - KAØ; 2004 Worshipful Master’s Recognition Award, Social Lodge No.1 – PHA; 2007 Fraternity Service Award, Hyattsville-Landover (MD) - KAØ; 2006 Brother of the Year Award, Washington (DC) - KAØ; and many others.
He is a member of Delta Sigma Pi (Business) Fraternity, initiated at the Iota Rho Chapter at Howard University, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and is a Prince Hall Mason of Social Lodge No. 1. He is also a member of the Howard University Alumni Association and Greater Washington DC Club.
He holds a number of professional affiliations, past and present. He is a founding member and formerly served as Co-Chair for the New Information Systems Professional Council at Kraft Foods, Inc. He is currently a Board Member of the Kappa Scholarship Endowment Foundation (KSEF). Mr. Dorsainville is also a Board Member of the Washington (DC) Alumni Chapter and Historic Kappa House Restoration Foundation. Some of the other organizations he has been involved in are the L’ABAPEC Haitian Association of New York and the Pan-Hellenic Council of Nassau County, New York.
Mr. Dorsainville is a long time supporter of all his organizations from his college days at Howard University to present. He and his wife Desiree (who is also an Alumnus of Howard University School of Communications and Law School) currently reside in Lanham, MD and attend Howard University Rankin Memorial Chapel service each Sunday.
