Alexandria-Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter - Kamp Kappa 2010
Kamp Kappa, celebrating it’s 17th year, is a National Guide Right initiative hosted by the Alexandria-Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter that is designed to provide a positive outdoor and educational experience for young men between the ages of 10-16 years. The campers come from both inner-city and suburban environments. The camp is a six-day overnight experience with activities managed by professional counselors and supported by volunteers from members of the local DC area Kappa chapters. Kamp Kappa is structured to provide activities that foster the spirit of team building, self-respect, and respect for others. Activities include games of skill, team exercises, confidence and leadership building tasks—all of which are designed to provide moderate physical challenges, but to stimulate creative thinking.
This year, all chapters in the Eastern Province are being strongly encouraged to support OUR Eastern Province program by sponsoring at least 2 young men for the camp or support the camp by providing donations or time. Also, OUR program is receiving support by the National Guide Right Committee to solicit support for OUR Kamp Kappa program to all of the Provinces across Kappa Alpha Psi.
Applications and further information on Kamp Kappa are available at:

The application deadline is May 30, 2010!!
I encourage all Eastern Province chapters to support OUR program to make it another successful year!!
Yours in the Bond,
Douglas V. Scarbor
