Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter Scholarship Golf Tournament
The Petersburg, Virginia Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on April 18, 1941 and will celebrate its’ seventy- first (71) year of Achievement and providing academic, social, economic and mentoring support to the Petersburg, Virginia community on April 28, 2012. This chapter planted its roots in Petersburg, Virginia before the United States of America entered World War II and it has continued to maintain a strong presence in the Greater Petersburg, Virginia area since that time!
To celebrate the many accomplishments of the chapter, a Scholarship Golf Tournament will commence at 8:00 a.m., at the Dogwood Trace Golf Course in Petersburg, VA. The tournament will be a shotgun start with trophies being awarded to the top three teams! Lunch will be provided on site to all golf tournament participants.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to fund the chapter’s annual scholarships to Petersburg, Matoaca and Nottaway High Schools. Additionally, a donation will be given to the St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital. The chapter received a resolution from the General Assembly of Virginia last year, for its many activities which are designed to make a difference in the lives of others.

Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter Pre-Mother’s Day Celebration
On behalf of the Kappa Leaguers sponsored by the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., you are formally invited you to attend the festivities at our first Pre-Mother’s Day Celebration on Saturday, May 12th at 11:00 a.m. Jazz vocalist Kevin Whalum will be featured in concert along with “SistaJoy” (spoken word) and Michael Price (poetry).The event, which is being planned by the Kappa Leaguers, is being designed in a manner that will allow them to collectively thank their mothers, grandmothers,aunts, and maternal figures that nurture and support them in their endeavors. The Kappa Leaguers are excited to have an opportunity to publicly celebrate their “sheroes” for their tireless efforts during the week, and especially on the weekends as they participate in community service activities, as they mature into responsible leaders of the next generation. As you can see not all young males are living the street life. Please, come out and support the Kappa Leaguers of Bowie/Mitchellville. We promise you will have a GREAT time.
